Before coming to the Rise Discipleship Home, Belony’s life was unraveling. He lived without accountability, drowning in depression, and numbing his pain with substances. Every day felt like confusion and inner turmoil.

Deep down, he believed he was destined to fail another tragic statistic of addiction. Most heartbreaking of all, he feared the legacy he would leave behind for his daughter: one of loss, not love.

The Breaking Point

Everything shifted one night outside a bar. Surrounded by chaos, Belony reached a breaking point that left him emotionally shattered.

In his lowest moment, he remembered seeing a Rise graduation video years earlier. That memory became a spark of hope. He reached out for help, and soon after, he arrived at the Rise Discipleship Home in Texas.

For the first time in years, Belony felt truly accepted. Instead of judgment, he was welcomed with open arms and given a fresh start on solid ground.

At Rise, Belony discovered stability through daily devotionals, structured routines, and authentic accountability. What once felt impossible peace, brotherhood, and purpose became his new reality.

Slowly, his depression lifted, his faith was rekindled, and his identity was restored.
